Throughout my career, I have seen how isolation can deeply affect people’s mental and physical well-being. Motivated by this, I founded Open Arms Hyndburn to provide a practical response to the increasing need for support. While Open Arms Hyndburn is a separate charity, we share the Christian values of love, compassion, and respect, which align with the mission of Great Harwood Christian Fellowship. These values guide our befriending service and with a dedicated Board of Trustees, we are working to ensure that Open Arms is a trusted and effective resource for people in Hyndburn who are experiencing loneliness. With the support of our trained volunteers, we are building lasting relationships that make a real difference to the lives of those who need it most.
